CATSKILLS NY

PRINT RETREAT

SEPTEMBER 8 -11. 2022

NO OTHER DATES PLANNED AT THIS TIME

I have found a stunning place where we will have four very creative, nurturing and inspiring days together filled with play, sharing, exploration, making, and hopefully very inky fingers.

We will have four workshop days, where we gather inspiration and motifs from the beautiful landscape around and then translate them into patterns and motifs.

I will introduce three different, very simple, yet effective printing techniques: potato printing, block printing and stenciling, staying away from special or expensive equipment so you can continue to do it all at home.

This workshop resonates with beginners and experienced makers alike, it is a special opportunity for all of you who want to find or reawaken your creative spark - absolutely no experience necessary, just bring a willingness to explore and play.

We will be staying at the The Uplands Center, a non-profit retreat center dedicated to providing an environment for renewal and growth that empowers all to make the world a better place. They are located in Walton NY, 2.5 hours away from NYC on 290 acres of tranquil farm and wood lands in the sweeping hills of the Western Catskills.

We will enjoy incredible meals that are prepared exclusively for us by our private chef, who only uses organic and local ingredients.

Yes, of course they are happy to accommodate any special diets, in the most delicious way -You will not be disappointed.
Meals are served buffet style in the dining hall with expansive views. A constant supply of tea, coffee and snacks will be available throughout the weekend. Wine and alcohol is not served on the premises, but it is perfectly fine to bring.

The new bedrooms are beautifully decorated, each one different from another and fully equipped with modern conveniences. The rooms can be occupied as singles or as doubles.

You will also find a small fitness area equipped with an elliptical stationary bike and free weights, an indoor lap pool and medical grade infrared sauna
YES ! -sauna is another one of my absolute favorite life affirming activities . There will also be yoga, nature walks, a sound bath and an opportunity to schedule a massage.

A magic combination of nature, art, amazing food, community, and play. I hope you join me in this “ this creative bubble”
